New Jersey Wedding Photography for Real Moments, Not Staged Memories
For couples who want their wedding photographed without turning the day into a photo shoot.
Your wedding should feel like your wedding.
Not a styled shoot. Not a production. Not a checklist of poses that could belong to anybody.
We’re Lenny & Melissa, a husband-and-wife photography team based in New Jersey. We photograph weddings together — both of us, every time — for couples who want the real story preserved with care, rhythm, and intention.
The people. The reactions. The energy. The family. The quiet moments. The dance floor. The things you did not even realize were happening.
And after the wedding, that story does not disappear into a gallery link. You relive it at your Signature Wedding Premiere Party and preserve it in a handmade Italian album built to live in your home.
30 weddings per year.
Your wedding should feel like your wedding.
Most couples do not want their day turned into a photo shoot.
They want beautiful photographs, of course. But they also want to hug their people, enjoy cocktail hour, hear the music, feel the room, and actually be present for the wedding they spent so much time planning.
The wrong photography experience can make the day feel stiff, rushed, or overly directed.
The right one gives the day enough guidance to move smoothly, but enough space for real moments to happen.
That is what we built our process around.
"Lenny and Melissa's images were just real. Not those bright, over-posed and forced shots you normally see." — Brian Saldana
“They will not stand there and tell you ‘do this and smile.’ No. They will create the atmosphere in which everything captured happens organically.” — Anais Martinez
Two photographers who already know how to work as one team.
We’ve been best friends since 1999 and married since 2014, so the way we move through a wedding day is not something we are trying to manufacture that morning.
We know when the other person already has the shot. We know when to step in and guide. We know when to disappear and let the moment happen.
To you, it feels calm. To us, it is a rhythm we have been running for years.
You are never handed off to an associate team. You always get both of us.
"You are not getting just a photographer; you are gaining friends that become family." — Ben Miller
Real moments do not happen by accident.
A lot of photographers use words like candid, natural, and documentary. But real wedding photography is not just standing back and hoping something happens.
Real moments happen when the timeline has room, the couple feels comfortable, and the photographers know when to guide and when to leave things alone.
That is why our process includes:
An engagement session
So we are not strangers on the wedding day.
Custom timeline guidance
So the day has enough structure to move smoothly without feeling controlled.
Both of us photographing together
So we understand the full story instead of working like two separate people chasing disconnected moments.
No more than 30 weddings per year
So every couple gets real attention before, during, and after the wedding.
A Signature Wedding Premiere Party
So you relive the finished story in person, not alone on a phone.
A handmade Italian album
So your wedding becomes something your family can actually hold.
Add a film that lets you hear the day again.
The vows. The speeches. The way the room reacted. The voices of the people you love.
"If you're second-guessing adding on video — do it." — PJ Muller
Photographing Weddings Across New Jersey.
We're based in New Jersey and photograph weddings throughout the state — North Jersey estates and ballrooms, Central Jersey venues from Princeton to the shore, South Jersey celebrations from Atlantic City to Cape May, and weddings in Jersey City, Hoboken, Philadelphia, and New York.
Venues We Love to Shoot.
Every venue has its own lighting, timing, and logistics. We've photographed most of the major NJ venues more than once — click through to see what we've learned at each one.
Your wedding day will not go exactly as planned. The question is who's standing next to you when it doesn't.
Rain moves the ceremony inside. The family portrait list runs long. A vendor is late. The room isn't ready when you expected. The light changes.
These things are not exceptions. They are the wedding day.
The couples who feel calmest in those moments are not the ones with the most detailed timelines. They are the ones with photographers who have seen it before, already know what to do, and never make it feel like a problem.
"They saved us. Our original photographer canceled on us weeks before the wedding. As soon as we met them we sighed in relief." — Gabrielle Regina
"They even had a big clear umbrella on hand so we could get the outside shots we wanted!" — Kristina Aguero
"If there's something you need, even if it's not photography related, tell them and nine out of ten times they have a person for it, a solution for it, or another option you probably didn't think of." — Diana Volpe
Our job is not only to follow the timeline. It is to keep the story protected when the timeline changes.
Wedding photography collections begin at $5,499.
That includes both of us as your photographers, a relaxed engagement session, custom timeline guidance, your Signature Wedding Premiere Party, and a handmade Italian wedding album.
If you're comparing us to a photographer at a lower price point, the difference usually isn't just the number of hours. It's the entire experience: who photographs the wedding, how the day is planned, whether an album is included, and what happens after the wedding day.
"Simply downloading your pictures at the end of the day can cost you precious memories if they just get lost in the cloud." — Isabella Ceglia
What couples say after the wedding.
Roselyn & Jeff (Wedding photography shot in Perth Amboy, NJ)
“We had so much fun throughout it all. With all the run around that happens the day of, being able to relive it through your pictures is simply breathtaking. In the moment we didn't even have a chance to simulate what the pictures were looking like and seeing so many we didn't even realize were taken is really cool. They made both our engagement shoot and wedding day unforgettable and we couldn't be more thankful. This is the team you want to work with for such an important day!”
Beth & TJ (Wedding photography shot in Hackettstown, NJ)
“You will relive your wedding day every time you look at your album. You will remember how you felt in each moment because Lenny & Melissa capture love and happiness like they are tangible things one can capture. Working with them, getting to know them, spending time with them… it was MAGIC! Choosing them as our photographers was the easiest decision we’ve made since TJ proposed and I said yes.”
Megan & Jimmy (Wedding photography shot in Hamilton, NJ)
“Their vision is incredible and they know exactly what to do to get the dream shots of the day. Your wedding day will be captured perfectly through their art. They made it so hard to decide what to put in our wedding album because every photo was so amazing! Finally, you get to form friendships with two of the best people out there. We couldn't have been more at ease and comfortable knowing our Wedding Day memories were in Lenny & Melissa's hands. We are so grateful to have worked with them!!”

Most of our couples say the same thing before the engagement session — and most of them forget about the cameras by the time it's over.
That's exactly why the engagement session is built into the experience. It's not a bonus. It's how we make sure you're comfortable around us long before the wedding day, so that when the day arrives, the cameras stay in the background where they belong.
We don't direct you through a pose list. We photograph what's actually happening — which means your job is just to be there.
-
No more than thirty. That limit is intentional — it's what allows us to give every couple real attention before, during, and after the wedding day.

Before we wrap up your experience, we bring you back in for a night most photographers don't offer — and most couples say it's one of the most emotional nights of the whole journey.
You invite your family and closest people. We'll have food and drinks ready, music on, and when everyone's settled we dim the lights and play your full wedding story on our 85-inch screen — start to finish — the way we captured it.
It's the first time you'll see moments you didn't even know existed. The reactions you missed because you were somewhere else. The quiet moments between the big ones.
Most couples cry. Most families cry.
