We were best friends long before Lenny & Melissa Photography existed.
We’ve known each other since 1999, married in 2014, and spent most of our lives around weddings in one way or another.
The business came later. The way we work together didn’t.
About Us
How we got here
Lenny started working events at 12. By 21, he’d built his own event company.
Melissa started photography at 16 and spent years learning the craft before it became her career.
When we started working together in 2011, we’d already spent a lot of time around weddings. We kept seeing the same disconnect: photographers who barely knew the couple, teams that didn’t really work together, and a process that seemed to end once the files were delivered.
We knew we didn’t want to build our business that way.
We already know how the other one works.
We’ve been photographing weddings together since 2011. By the time we show up for yours, we’re not figuring out how to divide the room or who’s watching what.
We already know when the other person has the shot. We know when one of us needs to step in and when the better move is to back off.
Your wedding day isn’t the place for two photographers to learn how to work together.

How We Work
By the wedding day, we already know how to photograph you.
Your Engagement Session is where the four of us learn how to work together—what feels natural, what makes you comfortable, and how much direction you actually need.
On the wedding day, we guide the things that need guidance: portraits, family photographs, lighting, and timing.
When something real is already happening, we leave it alone and photograph it.
And we stay together. Both of us know the same people, the same timeline, and the same priorities.
The wedding day is only one part of it.
By the time your wedding arrives, we’ve already spent time together. And after it’s over, the job still isn’t finished.

The wedding usually isn’t the last time we see you.
We’ve photographed first homes, babies, anniversaries, family sessions, and plenty of ordinary life after the wedding.
Some couples become friends. Some just come back when there’s something new to photograph.
Both are fine.
